As with any place, Santiago has its good points, and its not so good points. One of the biggest downers of this cool city is the ever present smog. Rain isn’t common here, but Wednesday night we were treated to a shower which yielded something I hadn’t seen since arriving here about two months ago.
Yesterday was a mixed bag sort of day. First the weather. It started out when i woke up to a really thick fog and temperatures that remind you that winter is on its way. Then after a full day of work I truly had to come to the sad truth that the period of evening, [...] my unit circled in yellow So after about three weeks of shuffling from room to room, living out of a suitcase, I finally got to move into a place I can call home. Sure its in the same building I’ve been in from day one here. And sure it makes my apartment in new york [...] There have been plenty of earthquakes around the city to last someone a lifetime. While they may not have been as bad as reported internationally, where it sounds as if the news has often confused the city of Concepcion with Santiago, it’s been enough to at least a few nerves and cause some to suffer [...] |
