Rafting in the Aichilik
The Aichilik River winds through a central portion of the Alaska’s National Wildlife Refuge. Here, Mike in his pack raft meanders down river in a pretty open stretch. Most sections of the river would be classified as a class 2 which basically means it wasn’t too difficult to navigate, with only limited rapids to pass through. One of the aspects of the river which made it difficult to navigate was when it became so wide or braided that it wasn’t deep enough to float the raft.

That looks like a great place to go Rafting! Of course, if you looking for higher level Rapids, Check out the Ocoee.
Yea.. the rapids of this river aren’t anything crazy, but the beauty of the remoteness is another story all together. Are you referring to the Ocoee in Tennessee?
