Built in 1913, and dedicated in 1919, the Kilauea Lighthouse was originally built as a navigational aid to commercial shipping vessels traveling between Hawai’i and Asia.  Located at Kilauea Point, it’s listed on the National Registers of Historic Places and is a top tourist attraction on the island of Kauai.
