chain bridge in a small local area of Puerto Galera
An old rusted out chain bridge in a small town in the Puerto Galera area of the Philippine island of Mindoro which connects a local (tribal?) village.
Similar to a typical rope bridge, but made entirely out of rusted metal and wires. The bridge looks here a lot more stable then it feels as you walk across it. There are holes in the metal platform and other areas of it are nearly rusted through and can make a person a bit uneasy that their weight will bust right through the seemingly thing metal sheets [Editor note: at least this person]. As would generally be the case, the local kids would had no such fears and without hesitation, would run across the bridge, jumping up and down and swaying it side to side.
