sign outside of glass beach
On the south shore of the island of Kauai is a small beach that lies in the shadows of industrial smoke stacks known as Glass Beach. Known as glass beach due to the existence of sea glass amongst the sand, it is easily missed by most tourist. Before stepping foot on the beach, visitors are confronted with this sign, written in hawaiian pidgin that serves as a simple reminder to help keep the beach clean.
